1. What this policy covers

This policy applies to information collected through doublejtherapy.com only. It does not apply to information collected through Jane App, which operates under its own privacy policy. Booking appointments, client login, and any intake or payment information are handled entirely through Jane App and are governed by Jane’s privacy practices, which can be reviewed at janeapp.com.

2. Information we collect

This website collects a small amount of personal information in two ways.

Contact form

If you use the contact form on this site, the information you submit — your name, email address, and any message you choose to include — is sent directly to Jen’s email. This information is not stored on the website, not shared with any third party, and is used only to respond to your enquiry.

Newsletter sign-up

If you choose to subscribe to the Double J Therapy newsletter, your email address is collected and stored through Kit (formerly ConvertKit), a third-party email marketing platform. By subscribing, you consent to receiving periodic emails from Double J Therapy. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email. Kit’s privacy practices can be reviewed at kit.com.

3. What we do not collect

This website does not use Google Analytics or any other analytics tracking tool. This website does not use advertising networks or tracking pixels. No personal health information is collected through this website. Booking and appointment information is handled exclusively through Jane App and is not collected or stored by this site.

4. Cookies

This website may use basic cookies necessary for the site to function — for example, to remember your preferences or to enable the contact form. No third-party tracking or advertising cookies are used. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time, though this may affect how some parts of the site function.

5. How your information is used

Information collected through this website is used only for the following purposes:

  • To respond to enquiries submitted through the contact form
  • To send the newsletter to subscribers who have opted in
  • To refer you to Jane App when you choose to book a consultation or appointment

Your information is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Kit — newsletter delivery. kit.com/privacy

7. Data retention

Emails received through the contact form are retained in Jennifer James’s email account and deleted when no longer needed. Newsletter subscriber information is held in Kit until you unsubscribe, at which point it is removed from the active list in accordance with Kit’s data retention practices.

Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), you have the right to:

  • Request access to any personal information we hold about you
  • Request that inaccurate information be corrected
